The Team

The team of the Manuscripta Bibliae Hebraicae (MBH) ANR project comprises the following members:

Dr. Élodie Attia, Scientific Officer, Lead Researcher

A historian and Hebraist with a PhD from EPHE Paris, she specialises in medieval Hebrew manuscripts, especially biblical ones, produced in Western Europe. Since September 2016, she has held the position of Contract Researcher with the Manuscripta Bibliae Hebraicae (MBH) ACHN ANR project (2016-2020). She is currently conducting this project at the Centre Paul-Albert Février - TDMAM UMR 7297, University of Aix-Marseille / CNRS. Further information:

  • The SEMBI.DE bibliographical project of Viktor Golinets (HFJS Heidelberg)
  • The Textual History of the Bible project (Gen. Ed. Armin Lange, University of Vienna)
  • The Biblissima — Bibliotheca bibliothecarum novissima portal
  • Various MMSH research units including the LA3M (Aix-Marseille University) which conducts experiments on the 3D digitisation of manuscripts
  • The ERC ParatextBib project for the organisation of an interdisciplinary study day dedicated to Bibles (November 2018)
  • Various projects and consortia dealing with medieval manuscripts (ongoing requests)


Various institutions (archives and libraries) for conducting 3D experiments and the interdepartmental "La Main et l'Écrit" workshop:
